Pricing questions

What's open-source vs. proprietary in LemonCrow?
The runtime, SDK bindings, host integrations, and install scripts are Apache-2.0 — read and modify freely. The retrieval and token-savings engine itself is a proprietary compiled component under a separate commercial license; that engine is what Pro and Enterprise pay for at scale. Free ships the same engine, capped to normal-size repos, with no crippled trial.
Is the Free plan actually useful?
Yes. Free is the full local runtime, no time-limited trial and no query cap — just capped to normal-size repos: ranked code graph + exact-range reads; bounded bash/web output + grounded batch edits; agents, skills + verification hooks; local session recall + durable handovers; local multi-worktree swarm; uncapped core after free sign-in.
Does Pro require cloud connectivity?
Only for sign-in and the periodic plan check. Your plan is cached locally for six hours, so normal operation makes a handful of auth calls a day.
How do I see how much work a budget actually buys?
The context budget planner tracks tokens, tool calls, context carry, and cost per run, then lets you apply policies to cut waste — and shows a full breakdown of what each session cost and saved.
Which agents and hosts work with LemonCrow?
LemonCode, Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor*, opencode, Hermes Agent, LangChain, the OpenAI SDK, Gemini ADK, and any MCP-compatible host. LemonCode is our own opencode fork — the one host we control end to end, so optimizations that third-party hosts cannot accept ship there first (`lc code host install`, then `lemoncode`). *Cursor is faster but not cheaper: it optimizes server-side and cannot hide its built-in tools, so LemonCrow is a pure prompt addition there and only pays for itself on large tasks — we don't recommend installing it in Cursor.
What does Enterprise add on top of Pro?
Everything in Pro, under the same proprietary-engine commercial license, plus very large repos with no index or symbol caps; shared team context across repositories; role-based permissions on shared memory; governance policies + audit export; retention controls + SSO; priority support. Contact us to scope it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel any subscription anytime. Access continues through the current paid period, then Pro features fall back to Free.
How many devices can I use?
Pro supports three active CLI devices. Manage and remove them from the account page (/account). The replacement activates immediately with no cooldown.
How do I activate Pro after payment?
There is no license key. Pay with the same email you sign in with, then run `lemoncrow account login` — the plan attaches to your account automatically. If you paid before signing in, the success page and /account will show Pro active.
