Privacy Policy

This policy covers the lemoncrow.com website and account. The LemonCrow runtime itself is open-core software that runs locally on your machine and is local-first by design: it does not phone home on its own. Activating an official install requires signing in to a free LemonCrow account (see “Account activation” below), and you may separately opt in to anonymous remote telemetry (see “Remote telemetry” below) — both are described here.

What we collect

  • Account activation. Official installs require running lemoncrow login, a browser OAuth sign-in (GitHub, Google, or email) that creates a free LemonCrow account. We store your email, a device identifier, and your plan (Free/Pro) to activate the CLI and enforce plan-gated features. Source builds can run without an account.
  • Remote telemetry (togglable). Anonymous remote telemetry is on by default: the CLI sends non-identifying usage events (for example tokens saved or calls avoided) to help us improve the product; no source code or prompts are ever collected. Turn it off anytime with lemoncrow telemetry remote off, and back on with lemoncrow telemetry remote on.
  • Anonymous usage metrics. Aggregate, non-identifying totals (for example tokens saved or calls avoided) used to show public counters. No personal data, source code, or prompts are collected.
  • Payments. Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your payment details are handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy; we never see or store card numbers. To issue and recover licenses, the license issuer stores the checkout email and Stripe customer identifier. The recovery rate limiter stores only a one-way hash of the submitted email address.
  • GitHub star count. The site fetches a public star count from GitHub's API in your browser, which is a request from your browser to GitHub under GitHub's policies.
  • Server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request metadata such as IP address and user agent to serve and protect the site.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising cookies, sell personal data, or track you across other sites.
